If you aren't too familiar with the area you might be wondering where to meet us for the rides. Here is a mini guide to the start points complete with Ordnance Survey references.
Runs start from these locations
PO - Stonehouse Post Office
SO-807053
The Post Office in Stonehouse is easy to find in the High Street on the
B4008. It's about 4 miles west of Stroud. Rides from here tend to be less hilly
because they go to the Severn Vale but can be longer.
D - Dudbridge cycle track
SO-834044
This is the cycle track at the roundabout opposite Sainsburys at Dudbridge.
The cycle track follows the route of the old railway and we meet at the site of
Dudbridge station. The roundabout is on the A419 where the Ebley Bypass meets
the Dudbridge Road. Rides from here are either easy if they go east, or hard if
they go west. Climbing Selsley Hill will warm you up fast and going to
Nailsworth along the cycle track is an easy start saving up the hills for later.
LR - London Road Car Park

SO-854048
This is the Stroud end of London Road at the roundabout between Waitrose and the
Brunel Mall. We meet in the corner at the roundabout where there is a parking
area for cycles. Cars can be parked there free on Sunday so don't worry about
bringing your bike on the car. Rides from here are invariably hilly with a drag
up to Bisley or Butterow or down the valley to Chalford and a climb at Frampton
Mansell.
L - Stroud library
SO-852053
The library is at Lansdown Road near the centre of Stroud. It's opposite the
wonderful Institute for Science and Art. We meet by the cycle spaces outside the
library or as in the picture, outside the Institute. Rides from here are always hilly and head north up Painswick Old road
or the Slad Road.
CT - Upper Mills Cycle Track

SO-813048
This is near Stonehouse and has a big sign on the main road at the entrance to Upper
Mills Industrial Estate. We meet
where the cycle track from Ryeford emerges at the entrance gates of the estate next to the A419. We gather on the bridge over the
Stroudwater canal. An adjacent parking space is a convenient place to leave your
car. If you get there early, bring some bread for the ducks.
