Congratulations to Bristol CTC members David Johnston & Paul Rainbow who both completed the 1000km Mille Alba Audax in Scotland last weekend.

The event in its first year took place in Fordell Firs outside Inverkeithing and provided 1000km of challenging riding to be completed in 75hrs. Both riders finished in good time with 8hrs to spare late on Sunday night. With tough weather conditions over the weekend of Rain and 20mph headwinds only 49 of the 69 starters finished the event.

Thanks for all the great photos we have been receiving! Its great to see what our members have been getting up to on our rides and events throughout the year so far.

We have just updated the galleries pages with new photos from the Jack & Grace Cotton Memorial 100km Audax, the Easter tour in Pembrokeshire, the West coast Scotland tour, the Jersey/Dorset tour, and a new gallery of images from the Wednesday evening rides.

THE KIDDERMINSTER KILLER – A legendary 212km audax through Shropshire across the Stretton Hills to Montgomery and back through The Marches. This 23 year old event is regarded as one of Britain’s classic randonee events through stunning scenary. 2012 will see a refreshed route including Wenlock Edge, Ragleth Hill and Montgomery. Belbroughton, Worcestershire.18th August 2012

FROM CLEE TO HEAVEN - A Brand new 120km Audax following a figure of 8 route taking riders along spectacular and tranquil lanes clinging to the sides of Brown and Titterstone Clee Hills. A great way to see Shropshire’s legendary blue hills of A E Housman fame. Belbroughton, Worcestershire.18th August 2012
