Club Auction Update PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 21 February 2012 10:53

A big thank you goes to all of you who joined us for the Club Auction. With the aid of Gary Harris's humour and prowess with the gavel, we all contributed to making the evening full of fun and bargains.

From a bike maintenance stand to latex gloves & Club Jerseys to jazzy socks (you don't know what they were like if you wern't there!), they all went under the hammer. The evening concluded with the impulsive bidding wars generated for the homemade jam. All this added up to a grand total of £414.73.

RED BULL HILL CHASERS 2012! PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 17 February 2012 00:31

Britain's Dual Up Hill Bike Challenge Returns to Park Street, Bristol on 18th February !

Park Street in the heart of Bristol will be the venue as 32 cyclists come together in an attempt to settle the fierce debate of which kind of bike is best uphill.

Red Bull Hill Chasers takes place on the famous Bristol street starting at 7pm on Saturday February 18th. 16 invited elite and 16 amateur cyclists from BMX, mountain bike, road cycling and fixed-gear compete in a series of gruelling head-to-head knock-out rounds on the unforgiving incline.

Riders will be paired randomly giving amateur riders the chance to compete against the elite. Look out for some big name competitors!

A knockout format will halve the field – until just two riders remain for the ultimate showdown. This year, the course has been shortened and pinch points added to suit the race equally to all disciplines.
